At the February 4th Board meeting, the Hunterdon County Commissioners proudly presented a proclamation to Raaid Hasani, of Scouts of America (SOA) Troop 571, in recognition of his outstanding achievement in completing his Eagle Scout project at the Flemington Area Food Pantry.
Mr. Hasani’s project involved installing a new paver walkway at the Flemington Area Food Pantry, which he achieved through careful planning, fundraising, and the coordination of volunteer efforts and procurement of materials under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Commissioner Director John Lanza shared, “On behalf of the entire Board, I want to congratulate Raaid Hasani on this remarkable achievement, his efforts not only enhanced the services of the Flemington Area Food Pantry but also exemplified the values of leadership, perseverance, and service that are the hallmarks of the Eagle Scout rank.”
In addition to being a member of Scouts of America since the 1st grade, Raaid volunteers regularly at the Flemington Area Food Pantry and Hunterdon County Library. He was awarded the SOA Presidential Service Awards of Gold and Bronze medals in 2024 and 2025 respectively. He is also a member of the Rho Kappa Association club and national honor society and part-time lifeguard at the Flemington YMCA.
Mr. Lanza shared in closing, “Raaid’s project not only demonstrates his capabilities as a leader but also highlights the importance of community involvement and the positive difference that it makes in the lives of others. We are happy to recognize his outstanding contributions with this proclamation.”
